Cried out for "Ikaw Pa Rin" by Ted Ito

Last night was so unforgettable. It was our barkada Christmas party. The only sad thing about it was that when one of my friends entered a song by Ted Ito, the song "Ikaw Pa Rin". I know that we were all supposed to be happy that night. It's just that I can't help myself. While the song was playing on and we were holding the microphone and singing along with it, I suddenly saw the good memories of me and my ex-girlfriend. I couldn't help myself but cry. I started to have teary eyes, then the tears fell down from my cheeks. At first my friends didn't noticed it yet, but when I started to wipe it out they immediately gave me a comforting hug that even made me cry. I tried to finish the song as my voice cracked with tearful sadness. After the song, they wanted me to sing a happy song but I went back to my seat to calm myself for a while. I felt really sad. There were two things; I felt sad about the good memories that echoed in my mind that night, and I felt sad about not being able to stop myself from crying since it was almost gonna break the night away.

Ikaw Pa Rin by Ted Ito is an old ballad tagalog song. errrr... kakainis kasi nagsulat pa naman ako ng article about moving on, and part of it was to stay away from bitter love songs! but look what i did? i cried over the stupid freakin' love song!

Anyway here's the lyrics of Ikaw Pa Rin by Ted Ito

Nang mawalay ka sa aking puso
Kung bakit hanap-hanap ka pa
Ang yong mukha'y laging
Lagi na lamang sa isipan ko

Bakit di magawa nitong damdamin
Ang paglimot sa mga nagdaan
Sadya nga bang ganyan
Pag nagmahal ay di matatakasan

Chorus:

Nais ko'y makapiling kang muli
Nais kong mayakap kahit na sandali
Kung pangarap ma'y tatanggapin ko
Ikaw pa ring ang iniibig ko

Who to vote for in the Philippine 2010 Presedential Elections?

Right now I'm still thinking of who to vote this coming 2010 Presidential elections. I still can't seem to convince myself of who will be the better one to hold that top position. It will definitely be a crucial decision. The truth is that this would be my first time to vote so I would really want to make the most of it, hopefully. But since the day when candidates have started to plug their desire to run for that position, I still can't absorb what they have to offer.

I came across the GMA 7's wordpress blog about the 2010 Presidential candidates and there I saw 9 people who are pressing their way to people's hearts and minds that only one of them is the most suited personality to be placed on the throne.

Here is my gathered list from www.2010presidentiables.wordpress.com

  1. Bro. Eddie Villanueva
  2. Joseph Ejercito "Erap" Estrada
  3. Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro
  4. Jamby Madrigal
  5. JC de los Reyes
  6. Manny Villar
  7. Nicanor Perlas
  8. Benigno Noynoy Aquino
  9. Richard Gordon
OK! so there are 9 of them. While I was watching the "Isang Tanong" at GMA7, there was only laughter and frustration in me. Seldom did I get excited by a candidate's answer to the nation's questions.

Bro. Eddie Villanueva

Although I am amazed that Bro. Eddie Villanueva is ranked highest in GMA7 2010 Presidential poll. OK so let me start my opinion about this candidate.

Brother Eddie has a very strong will, not only spiritual but also a very strong sense of political will. I can tell that he has a lot of knowledge on what comes out of his mouth whenever he speak to the people. At first I was never really interested in this guy since I strongly believe that the church should be separated from the government. These are two different dimensions and I don't think that it would be good to have a church leader sit on a political kingdom.

But I am amazed that he has a great sense of concern on our national government, till then let's find out on up to what extent does this person have to prove himself to me and to all of the Filipino people.

Joseph Ejercito "Erap" Estrada

I can't believe he still wanted to get back on his lost post. Well that's not really impossible for a guy like him, strong willed and all that, but I never imagined him really pursuing this track till the very end. Well, he does have a point when he said he had a very strong experience when it comes to politics since he had been a mayor, a senator, a vice-president, and a president, etc, etc... But I just think that this is not his time anymore.

Ang cute cute talaga ni dating pangulong Erap oh... I'm watching him right now at ABS-CBN's "Harapan" .

Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro

He speaks with great confidence. Actually if I am to pick, he would be my third option. But the reason why I am so  not confident about him is that he is an alliance of the "Dark Side". I think he knows deep enough about the position he would be taking in, if ever.

Jamby Madrigal

This one I only knew just now. But I am not confident about this candidate, even now that she has not been visible in political forums for the presidential election.

JC de los Reyes

errr... I don't like him. He doesn't seem to know what he's doing.

Manny Villar

errr... The best thing I like about him is the dance. And I guess that would be the only thing now. x_X I'm sorry but I don't believe him.

Nicanor Perlas

errr... I don't like him either. He doesn't seem to know what he's doing. Just the same as the other one. They seem to be wasting my time whenever I listen to what they have to say. They may have really good intentions for running but they can't seem to reach me. I'm sorry I can't gamble my trust to just anybody.

Noynoy Aquino

Senador Noynoy, I don't really say that he is the best among them. There is no doubt that he is good in nature, but politically wise, correct me if I'm wrong, I have always asked myself, "Ano na ba ang nagawa nya habang sha ay nanunungkulan pa bilang senador?". And I said, "ano nga ba?".

Richard Gordon

Good records, great man, but I'm still weary about my confidence in him. Maybe if I am to choose, I will put him at number 2.

-------------------------

Guys please help me decide which of these candidates is more deserving to serve the Philippine people.

6 second per pulse billing is now on the go

I just heard on the news that TeleCom companies have agreed to implement the 6 second per pulse billing system this December 2009. I like it. Isn't that nice?

The Philippines has an estimated total of 75 million cellphone users, and 80% of that are prepaid users. Yep! and I'm one of those 80%. Glad to hear about that. It's a good thing that we need not to register on irritating promos anymore. It's going to be a standard system where we can talk to our loved ones, our friends, our contacts anytime without having to worry about a disappointing bill.

Just imagine before, we can't control the price of our call. Let's say I called you for 15 seconds, that would already be charged as a 1 minute call. How about if I call you for 1 minute and 1 second, that would be charged 2 minutes already. Woah! that is so much of an abuse in the consumers' view.

But right now I think it's a good thing they did implemented this new system, when in fact they should have done that years ago, the charge per pulse billing is now in every 6 seconds. Not bad actually. I think it's fair enough for the consumers and the providers as well. Because before it was totally an overkill for cellphone users especially for the prepaid subscribers.

I've heard that this system yet only works on a same network system. So it's a Globe to Globe, Sun to Sun, or Smart to Smart. But! There is a BIG BUT! the next system intended for inter-network is about to be implemented on the succeeding months, hopefully.

Well thank you to the Telecommunications companies for adhering to our concerns.

Planning to switch my broadband with SkyBroadband

OK, I admit it... I posted several topics regarding what's good about SWB or Sun Wireless Broadband internet connection. It's true though that somehow it reaches up to 1.8Mbps and that I could finish a heavy torrent download in just hours, but it's just that it only happens 10-20% of the time when I'm connected to the internet, and most of it is during 2-5a.m. Who the hell wants to surf and and abuse the net on that hour. I mean, I did it. I wrote it in my blog a couple of months ago.

But it's true that you really need to test your satisfactory level in long period of time. In my case, it's just now that I realize how awful it is to surf and download programs or do any internet activity during daytime or even night time using the Sun Wireless Broadband. I am not so sure about other Wireless Broadband deals like Smart Bro and Globe Tattoo, but I will definitely want to shift my interest on a DSL connection. Especially in times like these when I already have a very good desktop, a very good Operating System, and then the only thing that lags behind is a very bad internet connection speed. It's very disappointing when you're into multitasking in the internet and yet you can't rely much on the speed of your connection.

Suddenly my brother asked me about the Sky Broadband. Well I said, not bad and let's go check it out. To find out that they have a 15-day trial makes it even more and more interesting. Personally, I'm not yet sure of how good or bad their service is. But since they have a 15-day trial, I think it's a good way to start testing it out. My brother is so in to it, after all. Guys if you have some recommendations or comments regarding the Sky Broadband deal, please let me know so that I could asses whether I'm going to waste my time on it or not.

And what's it gonna be? The SUN versus the SKY... Definitely I know the answer, but I just wanted to hear comments or recommendations from you guys if I could rely on Sky Broadband or not. And maybe you have some other options that you could give me and prove me of its worth. Thanks a lot people.

Is now back from vacation

Whew, that was a bit long vacation. It was almost two weeks of vacation in the province of Oriental Mindoro. Too bad I didn't had the chance to go to the beach. Who would want to, anyway? The rains were are strong as hell. There were storm signals everywhere. I mean around the province.

Yesterday was my cousin and uncle's birthday celebration combo. That was fun alright! There was beer everywhere. Food was flooding the tables and so are the unlimited number of alcohol that keeps pouring down my throat every now and then. It seems so endless, it never stops from coming.

After some "videoke" with the whole family (birthday celebrations in Cavite always seems like a family reunion), we went back to our house to set-up the drums, electric guitars and bass guitars. It's time for some live jamming sessions with the family. Can't blame the family for being musically inclined since the bloodline is musically oriented from first to last.

Unfortunately I needed to leave last night. I needed to accompany my girl back to her place at the city. It's sad though that I had to leave early. The party was just getting warmed up (although one of my brothers already surrendered and fell asleep heheh).

Well here I am now, sitting back at home, writing my blogs and plurking some stuffs. Speaking of plurk, while I was away on vacation, my karma points went down very low. I feel sad about it. I thought I could still use the internet on my phone, but it seems that the 3G signal in the province is not quite very good. Oh well, I suffered the consequences of not turning on my vacation mode at Plurk.

That's life anyways... I need to file my LOA later and then find a job to support myself. Wish me luck guys ^_^

I'm going out of town...

Yep I am... I'm going home to the place where I grew up. It's not like I'm gonna have a vacation, no... I'll be leaving the city for a while to visit my grandmother whose eyes are completely failing. My cousins said that my grandmother can't get up her bed anymore. So she's like lying there all the time.

Since my mother is going there, I want to come to. And besides my mother has some monkey business to do. Just kidding. We need to see if our source of income produces income, hahaha.

Anyway, I wish my girl was with me or my friends was with me. But they are all busy people. The truth is that I have nothing to do there besides visiting my grandmother. I guess I'll be staying there for quite a long time. I hope every thing will be alright back here while I'm gone.

Arnel Pineda doesn't look good on his new haircut

Arnel Pineda of Journey (Band) doesn't look so cool on his new haircut. I just saw him earlier on "Game Ka Na Ba?" show this morning and he looks like a look-a-like. I thought there was someone who was pretending to be him on that show. Something like an impersonator, but it was not. It actually was him, Arnel Pineda of Journey.

I only believed it was him when he plugged his shows and concerts, and some with Katy Perry. I don't know, I haven't heard enough. It's something like he's gonna be on Katy Perry's show here in the Philippines, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh well, that's just it... I don't like the haircut. He looks like a "wannabe" in that style.

Finally it is over!

Finally, final exams are over even though I only had one the whole semeseter @_@...

I'm not pretty sure about the results of the examination. Although, I've studied more than usual, I know for myself that I haven't studied well. I know for a fact that the subject was rather difficult to pass with just basic common sense and stuck knowledge. This subject is something you need to learn and understand to be able to cope up with it.

Sabi nga nila hindi pwede ang "papetiks-petiks" dito.

I must say that I have been very cautious in attending this one. I know, I know... I had 2 absences for this subject, but that was because I had a job at that time. After those 2 absences I did my best to come on time and to attend class. And hopefully it did turned out to be a perfect attendance after those 2 absences ...

uhm... wait let me check.. No, I'm sorry I've had three absences. The third one was when I had this freaking typhoid fever. I almost lost everything here. If I'm not mistaken, this is the third or the fourth grave illness I had in my whole life. The life-threatening ones. Uhm... so it wasn't a perfect attendance after all. Lucky me that the fourth day, that was supposed to be considered another absent for me, was nothing but a "no class". They actually suspended the class, not because I was gravely ill, but because there was a school event, *LOL*.

Oh well, for the results of this final exam, I hope it turns out right because I need more than a passing grade on the examination to pass the whole subject, probably a 75%. I pray to God, to Mother Mary, and to all the angels and the saints. This is a one in a lifetime experience for me *LOL* just kidding. But I do pray 'cause I don't want to fail this time.

Wish me luck guys and pray for me. ^_^

Sun Wireless Broadband Download Speed and Bandwidth

- CLICK ON THE IMAGES TO ENLARGE -

In my previous review (*link on the previews post*) about the Sun Wireless Broadband, I explained how its download speed is related to its allotted bandwidth. This early morning at around 4:45am, Thursday, October 22, 2009, I captured a screenshot of SWB's download rate. The bandwidth reached up to 1.2mbps and I was able to capture a download rate of 1.10mbps.

We can see from this picture how the graph went from nothing to atleast 650kbps then down to nothing again, and them around 290kbps, then down again, and until it suddenly boost to 1100kbps or 1.10mbps. This is the actual download rate. The change in speed happens in a matter of split seconds. If you will translate this to kilobytes per second you'll get around 137kilobytes per second download rate.

And then I've managed to capture this. It went down a bit to almost 800kbps on a translated download rate of 77.9 KiloBytes per second. If you actually do a computation, it should be around 100KBps but since download rates also depend on server speed, it can only cope up to as much as almost 80KBps. Not that bad for me, it was actually even faster than my PLDT plan 999 and even when I upgraded it to plan 1,300 if (I am not mistaken), which is 512KBps bandwidth. I've managed to finish 56.1MB in less than 10 minutes since there is a variation in speed. The following image is the rest of the download rate of the Sun Wireless Broadband.

PS: Here is how it works with my torrent... This shot was taken at 5:40am, downloading 3 torrents at a time and yet it shares a good amount of download speed for each. It reached 1.41mbps in this shot. Actually it already reached 1.5mbps.

And here is my speedtest.net result

*If you have some questions, suggestions, or violent reactions regarding this post, please don't hesitate to put your comments.

Next, I'll try and play WOW or World of Warcraft using only a mobile broadband, of course, Sun Wireless Broadband.

Reviewing 10mm thick handout for today's final exam on ONE SUBJECT!

I am now trying to endure the headache of waking up after 6 hours of sleep from 8pm to 2pm. The truth is I haven't have enough sleep since the past 72 hours. To sum up the number of hours that I've slept since Monday, it's approximately 10 hours! And I'm begging everyone to please understand. I have a final examination later. I'm reviewing 10mm thick handout just for one subject and still I barely pass the exams.

It's like torture! Oh yes it is... *sigh*

I even lack one or two more handouts, how will I be able to finish this?

Oh well I need to study now. I still need to rest up a bit before the hour of doom... @_@

Post Summaries - create your "Read More" automatically

Do you have automatic post summaries in your blog?

I am a blogger, and maybe so do you... Ever wonder how to create post summaries? Well that's practically easy for some bloggers. They just need to tweak something and then *kaboom* there goes the "read more »»" button, your post summaries are now available, but not automatic. Sometimes it is part of the post settings, like for example here in blogspot. You just need to insert a break after the teaser part where you want it to be and then the rest is history. But in some cases you want to do automatic post summaries without needing to put breaks all the time, or insert a piece of code every time you post a blog.

Luckily I found something very useful. Simply follow the steps on this blog. It will teach you step by step on how to do the trick on automatic post summaries. click link

You cans till customize this setup with your own preferences. So good luck with that and enjoy ^_^

ako si chris - the JoePM hit-maker guy

I was wandering by the internet at youtube when i suddenly found this guy singing "Magasin" by the Eraserheads.

And not all that, singing a whole lot more of Original Pinoy Music.

This guy? No, he's not from the Philippines at all. He's a white boy from Hoboken, New Jersey. I can say that he really likes music. He plays good on the guitars and he sings quite well enough. I can say that he's also a fan the "The Beatles" since you can see a poster of them in almost all of his videos.

I never heard him sang English songs yet. But I'm well satisfied seeing and hearing him sing OPMs or so what he calls JoePM (the song twist of Filipino Music sang with an American tongue). He's actually good in all that performing different OPM songs. And it's not just actually OPM, he really chooses the ones with Tagalog lyrics. I really flipped when he performed some "out of this world" guitar tabs with "Penge Naman" by the Itchyworms. But it was really good!

After I found out that he had already gone to the Philippines, I immediately search his name on Google. Fair enough, I think he's really pure American. I immediately became a fan. Just like what other people say, I became an instant fan.

Somehow I began to realize more how some Filipinos use to idolize and copycat other foreign artists, yet there is this guy who is totally not even Asian, but loves to rock the Filipino music scene. I really feel sick about those who do freaking versions of foreign songs and make money out of it. They think it's cool... but the truth is that they really suck big time. Get a life you assholes! Stop translating songs and posing as if you owned it!

Finally while searching again through some blog posts on the internet, I found the answer to the question "WHY?". Why is he doing all this? At first I wondered if he had a relationship with a Filipina before. Then I thought maybe he has friends in the Philippines, or some far relatives. But the answer to that was written on this link ->> wolverina.wordpress.com...

Yes! It says there that this guy's wife is a Filipina ^_^. Lucky that! And for that, I salute you! Go and entertain us more with MORE of your JoePM versions. We would really like somebody like you shake the heads of all the Filipino community, to remind them that OPM ROCKS (or JoePM =P)!

Sun Wireless Broadband Internet

Sun Wireless Broadband or SWB is one of the three (3) major wireless broadband in the Philippines, officiated by Sun Cellular. Sun Cellular is the known brand name for Digitel Mobile Philippines, Inc. or DMPI. Sun Cellular is a member of the JG Summit group. JG Summit Holdings, Inc. (JGSHI), one of the largest and most diversified conglomerates in the Philippines owns 47.45% of Digitel Mobile Philippines, Inc.

The other two competitors in wireless broadband are SMART and GLOBE TELECOMS. For SMART they call it the SMART BRO. GLOBE TELECOMS call their wireless broadband the GLOBE TATTOO. SUN CELLULAR simply call it the SUN WIRELESS BROADBAND.

I'm not really sure really of which is better, although as far as I know they all have different target consumers or should I say that their services apply to different types of consumers.

I'm currently subscribed to the Sun Wireless Broadband or SWB plan 799. It's an unlimited service post-paid plan worth PHP799 a month. The modem is worth PHP1,895. This plan has no holding period since you need to buy the modem separately. The modem is an easy-to-bring, light-weight, USB compatible flash drive. It can come with a router (optional) for a one-time-fee of PHP3,500. You need to settle the accounts for the first month which means that your next billing statement should only arrive at the 19th of the 2nd month from when you've subscribed to their service. Their billing due date is always at the 19th of the month. Therefore you should receive your billing statement days before the 19th day of the month. Their service is Metro-wide applicable.

The speed can go up to 2mbps (as in 2 mega bits per second). Don't expect too much about the speed. Since it's a wireless application protocol, the speed varies from time to time. It has no constant speed. For this moment it could be 512kbps (kilo bits per second), then next second it could fluctuate to 1.7mbps (mega bits per second), then on the next second it could be as low as 4kbps or even ZERO kbps.

This is rather normal. The frequency would be less consistent since it's an airborne signal. This applies to all the other wireless broadband out there. The only difference is that Sun Cellular's service is unlimited. For Globe Telecoms' Globe Tattoo's strong point, their signal is strong everywhere and not just in Metro Manila. For Smart Bro, I'm not really that sure.

And please don't get messed up with the (kbps) thing. Many customers think that this speed is in kilo bytes per second. Now this is the common mistake. Kilobytes is far from kilobits. 1 byte is equivalent to 8 bits. so you could just imagine the difference when you add the prefix "kilo" to it.

I would just like to reiterate this, not just for Sun Wireless Broadband, but for all the rest as well. We often mistook the (kbps) download speed with the (kbps or mbps) bandwidth allotment. You might actually be wondering why you're connected with let's say 512kbps bandwidth and yet when you download any program or software from the internet it drops down to 40-50+ kbps or something less. This is because the bandwidth is in kilobits while the download speed meter is in kilobytes. If you convert 512kilobits into kilobytes, you'll end up at around 64kilobytes bandwidth for download. That would be the ceiling speed if you're bandwidth is 64kilobytes. But it's very rare that you would reach that maximum download speed. Often times you'll only get, as I said, around 40-50+ kbps of download speed or even less.

Let's go back to Sun Wireless Broadband. SWB is not really good for programs that need a consistent connection like online games. It's best recommended for web surfers since they only require a minimum amount of bandwidth and download speed. But just to share some experience, I wouldn't say that Sun Wireless Broadband has a really good internet connectivity. Sometimes you'll really get pissed for having a very and ultra slow connection. Sometimes you wish you've never subscribed here. But also sometimes, you want to take advantage when your download speed hits up 1.7mpbs to 1.9mbps (megabits/second or around 240 kilobytes/second). It's true, there really is a time when the download speed goes up this fast but usually it's around the time when people are already on their beds (LOL). Lucky for me, I'm a vampire. I mean my body clock is the reciprocal of a regular person. I'm awake from 6p.m. to around 10a.m. and the rest of the day is sleeping time. I usually encounter this ultimate speed during 2-6am as the maximum span of time. Very nice ^_^ download all you want ^_^ even torrents.

They have a pretty good customer service. I've tried it more than twice since I had some questions regarding the equipment set itself and problems regarding my billing statement. Since I have no land-line phone in my house, I have no choice but to contact their customer support through my cell-phone or through their website. First, I tried to use their website's customer support and feedback form. I was hoping that my query was going to be delayed since it has always been the problem with many other companies' customer support service, but it didn't turn out to be like that. I was even surprised to see their reply on my GMAIL inbox relatively less than 24 hours. I was expecting that queries like that could be processed at around three days without them notifying the customer of why it could take that long.Gladly, it was a good customer service. They were very nice with their message. They were straight to the point. And they were quick. I'm not sure about call center agents though. I haven't tried their CSR through call centers yet.

Remnants of Typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng

Unfortunately the remnants of typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng still lingers in the land of the Filipino country. It is most heart-breaking to see our fellow citizens dropped down on their knees and crying for help, hoping that they can recover from the furious rampage of the two typhoons that hit the country. However, it always makes me proud to see Filipinos, in the midst of trials, can still put a smile on their faces and embrace the situation head-on with concrete courage!

These are true heroes. They are the mark of a real Filipino. In times of needs, even at their own helpless situations, they've managed to help one another in their own ways. They truly know how to cling to God. They've strong hold to faith!

It's been so depressing to still see some areas flooded and sinking in mud and dirty waters. Every time I watch the news, a part of it still include what's left of Ondoy and Pepeng's victims. Problems continue to arise despite the support which different local and non-local organizations have already given. Although, it is much satisfying to see that the continuous out-pouring of love for the Filipinos have been manifested over and over, even by different countries and by their country leaders. We deeply admire their passion to help the victims of these two typhoons that hit our country.

Here is a video from youtube posted by Rico Blanco himself.

http://www.ricoblanco.com.ph/bangon/

This is a video showing some images of the victims of typhoon Ondoy in the Philippines. The song was written and sung by Rico Blanco himself and was performed together with Robert Dela Cruz (drummer), Berns Cuevas (bassist), and with the help of Angee Rozul, Tracks studios and Blue Light studios.

According to Rico Blanco's website, he composed the song to offer it to the thyphoon victims. In his website he asked everyone to share and repost this video to let every people in the world that Filipinos, even in times of crisis, will always get back on his feet, firm on the ground, and will continue to fight.

He totally gives away copies of this song for free. The mp3 can be downloaded from his site. Please share this to everyone especially to those who have been hit by the savaging storm so that it may boost their morale and recover from their traumatizing experience.

This is the link to the mp3 free download of "BANGON" <--click this link

Please visit the site for more information on the video, on the song, and on the lyrics. It is totally free. Also, if it doesn't hurt your pockets, please help and send in some donations. May God bless us all!

Shameful Korean Racists insulting Filipinoes in times of struggle

So it is true after all... I've been trying to figure out if it really is true. I can't believe why some people just don't know how to sympathize, and yet they still have the guts to call us Filipinos and the Philippines as monkeys living in a monkey island? How pathetic! I really don't get the point why MOST FILIPINOS love to hear K-POP music and idolize Korean racists. Have they no love for their own race? For crying out loud, give me a break!

I want to believe that not all Koreans are like this. I hope! At least not all of them. I don't really wish for it but I don't know how my reaction would go if those pitiful racists meet their own devastation.

Magasin - English Version (EXPOSED!) --Lyrics, Artists, atbp.

Magasin - Eraserheads (English Version) -- The complete exposure!

Magasin was originally composed, arranged, performed, and recorded by a famous band from the Philippines, Eraserheads. The song was actually written in Tagalog (Filipino Language), composed by the lead vocalist/guitarist of the group, Ely Buendia...

Now this video... is something else! I'm not pretty sure if I'm violating somebody else's pride, freedom, reputation, personality, privacy, or whatsoever they may accused of me, but the truth is... I was present when they made this project.

And to testify, this really is a group project for our Filipino subject. They are actually my friends, each and everyone of them that you see in the video. Luckily, I wasn't really part of the group. I'm not sure if I or they decided not to include me in the footage. Either way, I'd still choose not to be included in the video.

Okay let me start with the info... If I'm not mistaken, as far as I can recall ,this was done during our 2nd Year in college. Our Filipino Professor (Ms. Ifurung) required us to do two music videos, one Tagalog, and one English. Then she asked as to translate them on their opposite languages -- English to Tagalog, and vice- versa.

Truth be told, I was supposed to be in this group. But at the time when the members were picked, the other group got to pick me first. So as a friend, I just stayed, helped, and watched them make their project for I can no longer be part of the group.

Now, I wrote this blog because from the time they brought me the news that they have uploaded this video and told me "oi abe! nakita mo na ba yung video na inupload namen sa youtube??? ang dami ng views, tingnan mo dali!!!!" So this made me like, "oh! oh! oh! okay, okay! wait let me see it..." And from then on, I was extremely glad to see people getting so into this "project thing" that we did.

From time to time I visit that channel to see if there are more views and comments. It doesn't really matter if some comments are rude, but I would really like to THANK THOSE WHO "somehow" APPRECIATE the video. It's just like a petty project, for crying out loud! We didn't even really thought of getting serious about it. It was for pure fun. But luckily, really... it took an A+. It was like the highest graded Music Video in our class, even higher than my group's project. But I'm really proud I was part of that production even if I was just an observer. And I also kept on suggesting more corny inputs for that video. I never really thought it was way over corny.

Let's share the COMPLETE Magasin - Eraserheads (English Version) Lyrics
well actually almost complete.... this was like three or four years ago, I can't really seem to remember them all... uhm don't worry it's only one line. That's it! And I actually believe that when Pags was singing that portion he really did messed up on that line. *LMAO*

*** ok! so my friend Joji here followed this link and told me the missing piece. now, the lyrics is really complete! enjoy!

Magasin - Eraserheads
Composed by Ely Buendia
Popularized by The Eraserheads
Devastated by SWAT Team

i saw you on a magazine
your dress was yellow
your hair was green
a magazine stand along Baclaran
saw you, was mesmerized by your appearance

do you still remember when we're still together
i didn't expect that you'll become a star
i even laughed at you
you even called me a fool
you're not that beautiful before
however now....

hey!

your smile is different
your looks are different
how come you underwent this metamorphosis
let's hope that no one saw it
so problems won't come with it
for i'm experiencing this poverty
to purchase... oooohhhoohhh
to purchase your beautiful face... =p

maybe right now you have your own auto
blazing... on a stage
your dress was made by Sotto
'suppose now.. you're already signing
for the supermodel of the whole wide universe
'cause now!

your smile is different
your looks are different
how come you underwent this metamorphosis
let's just hope no one saw it
so problems won't come with it
'cause i'm experiencing this poverty

(ad-lib)

i saw you on a magazine
and suddenly i realized it was R18!!
the title was obscene

to my hurry, I've seen (This weary part was cleared by JOJI himself, thanks tol)
and so my eyes were opened to reality
hey!

your smile is different
your looks are different
how come you underwent this metamorphosis
let's just hope no one saw it
so problems won't come with it
'cause i'm experiencing this poverty

your smile is different
your looks are different
how come you underwent this metamorphosis
let's just hope no one saw it
so problems won't come with it
for i'm experiencing this poverty
to purchase... oooohhhoohhh
to purchase your beautiful face... =p

i wonder where you are
i just hope you're happy
and in the coming issue
the centerfold is you... youohhhhhhhhhhhh
ooooooohhhhhhhhhh (LMAO)

PANGALANAN ANG MGA SALARIN
The SWAT Team (Let's name them all!)
SWAT - (Samahan ng mga Walang Alam sa Test)
formed in Highschool, remained to be true 'till college...

Now let's start naming those people behind that dirty old video ( LOL ).

Jose Marie (Pags) Pagkanlungan
He was the major vocalist of this song (LOL)
also the bassist on the video where there was a band
he was also the major contributor to the wicked lyrics of the song... bright ideas ehh??

Francis Rendell (Frankie) Pulanco
this guy is the one who owns the house
beside the driveway where they made their sloppy dance moves
I forgot who choreographed that, I think it's Noy
This guy is also the drummer at the video where they were posing as a band -- although he really is a drummer

Joji Kaneko
This guy is kind of a director of some of the corny scenes you've just seen

Marc Allan Reyes
he was the vendor of the magazine at the "magazine stand"
he was the one responsible for breaking the monoblock armchair
that he threw at the end of the video

Joselito Antonio (Noy) Barcelona
I think he's the leader of the whole dance craze thing as far as I can remember
he also sang a portion of the last chorus

Ronell Ong
can you believe this guy? he never really did show up those times when we made the video,
recording and editing stuffs.... but he was surely visible at the video!!!
what we did was we let Noy edit his solo photo, turned his hair long and green, his shirt yellow, and pasted him at the bottom right corner of the magazine.

Jerimiah Emmanuel (Jero) Sese
This was the person who posted the video at youtube. I can't really remember who did all the editing. well, hopefully you'll recognize them when you watch the videos again.

--------------------
By the way, I just sneaked up on my classmate's multiply site and grabbed these photos... the last one (jero's photo) I stole it from his friendster account (LMAO)

I really do hope they forgive me for this!! Well Good luck guys!
Thank You for your kind unsolicited support

_______________
(Pahabol) P.S.
For me, these guys did a very good job. They've submitted on time even if we did this one or two days before submission. They've got a really high grade. These guys, (okay, let's admit it...) we were only amateur students at that time. We only used trial version of Pinnacle Studios. They only even used Windows Movie Maker to edit and record the song itself. Can you imagine that? It's like way below stone age... But I'm proud of these guys, and it really sucks whenever I search for these tags again on the internet and then I find posers taking credits for my friends' video.

For those people who likes the video, thank you... We appreciate how you appreciate our work, but please don't take it as if it is your own. Don't label it with your own names, you don't even look like the original crew who made this video (or not, i hope not *lol*).

For those of you who have outrageous comments, thank you... we enjoy your criticism, especially me haha. keep it up!

Long time no blog!

It's been a while since i blogged about something. Well, knowing myself I'm not really that much of a blogger, although sometimes it makes me feel like wanting to blog at indefinite times. Example is while I'm watching TV and then suddenly a crazy show or commercial freaked me out or really amazed me, it gives me a strong feeling of wanting to blog it out, or even just a short shout out.

I haven't been regularly checking the internet for blog posts. Well actually, I do have a number of blogsites including micro blogsites such as plurk, twitter, and facebook. The truth is I haven't been able to update my Multiply site as well. What a looser.

Anyway I'm just writing to spill out some thoughts. My mind is so much encumbered with every bit of data. I don't even know which to prioritize first. I have so many goals, so many ideas, and they are all clumped in my head that I can't think straight anymore.

Oh well, that's it for today I guess.

How Writing Saved My Life – A Blogger’s Confession

I’m not much of a writer. In fact, my forte is far from writing. I’m actually a computer enthusiast who loves to discover everything what technology has to offer. Programming and multimedia designs are two examples of what I love doing. I really wonder how I got into writing, and how writing saved my life.

Although I’m not really good at it, I do have blogsites. And then recently this year, I joined a company that offers home-based jobs, specifically for freelance writers. A friend introduced me to this new sensation. Since it’s another potential for money-making, I took it. I looked at it as an opportunity even if I wasn’t really sure about my writing skills.

At first, I wasn’t so much in to it since I’m not really fond of writing. I have blogpages but seldom do I blog. But writing gave way to what I actually wanted to do from the start – to share my life, experiences, opinions, and expertise. How writing saved my life is what I’ve been wondering since then.

I began to start a new phase in life. I wouldn’t say I already abandoned what I loved doing. But since I can’t do things the way I wanted, from what time has provided me for, I jumped to a new interest and conclusion. I realized that even if I can’t manifest my skills, I can still focus my attention on how to share my technical knowledge through writing.

Writing my own life experiences, aside from my technical expertise, also helped me alleviate the stress, pain, and emotion I feel every time I’m about to burst. Of course I accompany these with a couple of research, which also helps me by having a better understanding on the situations which I’m also in.

Fortunately, it’s also a job. So I’m not just writing for the glory of it, but I’m also doing it to help stabilize and support my financial needs. To be frank, I’ve been experiencing a financial crisis. But this company helped me a lot not just financially but also to bring out what I can do more. So this is basically the summary of how writing saved my life. And I personally want to thank Essays.ph and my friend who gave me this new experience. And I love it.

JoLour Driving School: Bad Issues

This is the information about JoLour Driving School quoted from one of my other blogs:

"JoLour Driving School is LTO (Land Transformation Office) accredited and one of the Philippines known driving school. With regards to price, JoLour is much, much cheaper than all the other driving schools. When it comes to effeciency of the driving lessons, they also have a good set of instructors that will teach you the best and safest way to drive.

The name "JoLour" is derived from the combined name of the couple who owns the driving school, namely Mr. Jonathan and Lourdes Cruz.

JoLour Driving School is located along the extension of Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City. It is inside a commercial building, ground floor, along Aglipay St., Poblacion, Mandaluyong City.

The person to contact is Mrs. Lourdes Cruz, the owner of Jolour Driving School. Contact numbers are (02)385-5806 and (0915)976-5540."

The BAD ISSUE

Two of my friends have already enrolled there. My friend who already had driving lessons there referred my other friend to enroll. He said that compared to A1 and Smart Driving School, JoLour Driving School is way cheaper but will really let her learn the best driving techniques and the rules on the road. Actually, he's right about that. Jolour really is a better school than all the other. But the bad news came during the height of the driving sessions..

At first, she was comfortable with the lessons. As the session goes, she realized that the way her instructor is treating her was rather odd. She was hearing other things out of the lessons she should be learning. It was very bold of that instructor to talk about things that were rather disgusting and insulting. He was telling my friend about his past career as someone who works in night clubs, and that he has a good body and a large p*nis.

So what could be the instructor's problem? Why was he saying such things? At first, she didn't mind. But on the latter part of the sessions she had with him, he was totally saying absurd things like, "I love you", and all that can irritate the client. He was literally stalking my friend, asking the phone number from her mother, and calling her from time to time. She was already scared so she decided to talk to us about it. We told her that she should tell her parents about it. She was verbally harassed by that maniac-looking instructor. When her mother talked to the owner about their employee, the owner said the opposite of what was actually going on. They even said that she was the one who liked their employee.

Damn! That was one big disappointment. I was even looking forward to enroll my girlfriend there, but now I guess NOT! I'll never let my girlfriend be harassed by some freak-show-dude!

This is just a warning to those who want to enroll at JoLour Driving School. If you still want to pursue your driving lessons with them, I advise you to pick Mr. Jonathan Cruz (the owner) instead of anybody else.

This is my comrade, blog...

Many people are already into this blogging sensation. Speaking of many, it's really "many". Blogging became the alternative way of creating a personal website. Instead of paying Domain names, people just hook up to the internet, search for a blogging website and sign-up for free. That's it. The most easy and more satisfying way to start your own website. Well of course if you want your own domain name there is always the offer for the premium account. Blogging makes it more easy to write, upload, and share different sorts of file. Designing your own page also makes a lot more easier because of the hundreds and thousands of ready-made layouts and CSS codes.

More and more people are getting into blogging. Why? maybe because it's more user-friendly. In that way, even those who have less knowledge about the internet, how it works, and how to operate on things like blogs like these, they can actually work it out with full ease. Without needing to hire a website designer and developer would really be a great relief. Without having to worry on how to design and develop your own website would even be a lot easier. This is why people choose blogging - because of its flexibility.

There are many blogspots that can offer you membership, BLOGGER.COM is one of it. If you love to write, upload and share as many things as you want, whatever those things maybe, you might as well start to sign-up your own blogspot right now. Follow the trend and be a blogger.

So what does it all mean?

This was shared to us by my girlfriend's friend... Try to watch it and try to realize some things. It maybe true or not but the concept and the ideas presented here is just to make us think deeper, that the world is not just the world. There is more to life than how we look at it.

Until now I still don't know how to answer the question, "what does it all mean?" If you finally come to realize it, please leave a comment. Thanks

Naruto Craze

I've been a Naruto fan since the chuunin exam. Awww... that sucks really 'cause I didn't get the chance to watch it from the very beginning. Another thing is that my brother is such a spoiler. I'm just not fond of reading manga series but this one made me try it. Naruto is really amazing.

I mean, this is the only anime that motivates me. It gives me a big pull up. I don't know but I think I'm really having goosebumps every time they try to talk about serious matters. I'm kinda attached to the feeling of how the story goes.

I guess his character really means something to me as a person. I'm not sure how. I'm proud about the creator and the writer or whoever conceptualized this manga. It's really good. It makes me feel good in the times I feel bad about myself.

And one thing I'm sure of is that, I never get tired of watching this anime even if I repeat it over and over again. There are just so many good points that I want to hear and see every time I watch it.

I can't say any more, and I can't say any less... NARUTO is the BEST!

This bad day of mine may actually turn out to be something good

I got home last night with only 3 pesos on my pocket as change from my 10 peso coin on a 7 peso jeepney fare. Whew, at least I got home safe. But nobody was home so I thought maybe I'll spend the night alone.

While I was fixing things in the kitchen and other things I find annoying, I also text my girlfriend. Then I was surprised when the fourth message wasn't sent. My unlimited texting service has already expired and the network was too late to notify me about it. That's it, no money, no load, no food on the table, and nothing else to do but watch boring channel 7 shows. Well actually last night was not that boring @_@.

My girlfriend called me and so I told her that my load has just been depleted so I can't text her anymore. After the conversation I immediately went to sleep since I'm really, really sleepy.

I woke up in the Morning and realized that I was still alone. Where could they be? I was actually thinking maybe they've gone to their own home. Or maybe she already gave birth on a hospital somewhere.

Hmmm.... looking around me, I still realized that there was no food, no money, and none to talk to. What the hell am I suppose to do? So I just said, maybe I'll just go back to sleep to endure starvation.

I finally woke up around noon time and told myself, maybe it's time to look for a little something to eat. Yes! there was food! It was a Sunfflower Cracker... and only around 7 pieces left. I got one and ate it, then I returned to bed. after 30 minutes or so, I woke up again and told myself, maybe it's time to really wake up. I opened the television and watch the boring stuffs again, although I liked the "moymoy palaboy" part. I found a clover chips and ate it while watching. I tried to fixed my laptop and downloed firefox so I can plurk.

At around 3:00 in the afternoon, my cousin called. He said, "Oh we're in a hospital right now, unexpectedly my wife said her belly hurts so I took her here and then kaboom! there's the baby." I said, "Wow that's great! But I don't know how to get to that place and I don't have money left for transportation." I didn't told him that I also don't have food anymore because I'm afraid I might add up to the burden of hospital expenses. But I'm really happy about hearing the news that a new baby has arrived. I really want to see him, I was talking about the baby boy. This is great, another baby boy in the family. I think I can get to the hospital if I can get to my girlfriend's place, just like what my girlfriend told me. She wants to see the baby, too.

Hmmm... and maybe, I think I need to take a bath now so we can visit on time.

Whoa look at this, my mother sent a message again saying "Did your brother gave you your allowance? Don't you have any load?" How do you think can I reply to that? That was a very hard good question but hard to answer. @_@

Boy Abunda and Vicky Belo issue

What is it with Boy Abunda, Vicky Belo, and Manny Calayan?

I mean, they're all big figures in the Philippine Industry especially in show business. The Buzz, SNN, Shobiz Central, they are all just repeating the same issue over and over. It's like the whole issue is just to endorse the three of them, to make their names ring all over the place.

Belo said (maybe not exactly like this), "If you want to look like Dingdong Dantes, go to Belo. But if you want to look like Boy Abunda, go to Calayan"

Wow, what a choice of words... @_@

I know and i agree that it would really be insulting if someone told you what Dr. Belo had aired in a specific T.V. interview. Who would have thought she could say that on-air targeting his old friend? And now she tries to apologies by means of a text message.

I've watched Boy Abunda cried on SNN the other day. I mean his right, Belo is so mean. Why would she say such a message like that on-air? Doesn't she realize what she's doing? In tagalog terms, that is called "paninirang-puri". And I think Boy can sue her for that. But maybe that's going too far. It reminded me of Piolo and Sam being labeled on as GAY buy Lolit Solis.

Hmmm.... I don't know but for me, the whole thing is not convincing. They even have a poll now, stating: Who would you prefer to go now: Dr. Belo, Dr. Calayan, or none? I mean, What's with the poll? Is this the result of the grudge against Belo that they want to prove Calayan will have more clients from now on because of what happened? How childish is that? I know childish because somehow I'm also childish in a way, but this? Or should I say it's really SHOWBIZ and we couldn't do anything about it anymore because that's how they run their industry.

What is that? I don't want to say that they're whole act is a fake, but just to be safe and just for my own opinion I'm saying I'm NOT CONVINCED...

ABS-CBN cost cutting with Multiply.com??

Well, I'm not actually sure of this and it's something I really want to find out. Hmmm... I was watching T.V. and was tuned in to ABS-CBN. Before the commercial of the show I was watching, there was a small caption below the screen, "ilovebettylafea.multiply.com", or something like that. And I said, are they short on website budgets? Why use a blogsite for a high-rated T.V. show website?

I recall there is also another show that uses this blogsite as their website. With all due respect to Multiply.com, they are not my concern. In fact it is a good blogsite and they have good features that are very easy to use. Actually, I too, have an account on that site: ashkenazz.multiply.com.

I was just still wondering why a big company or corporation or whatsoever here in the Philippines would use a FREE blogsite to serve as their website. Well, I'm not yet really sure if it is their official website. But I posted the title of this site as a status in my Yahoo Messenger, and some friends reacted and said, "oh yeah, I noticed it, too..."

Well, surprisingly a friend of mine said almost all of the show she's watching in ABS-CBN had this blogsite-website thing. And then she asked me, "Is it also hapenning with GMA7?". Then I told her, "Well, that's what I want to find out" ^_^

But, really... Are they on low budget or something?? I'm curious about it...

OzineFest 2009

I really do think I'm already old for this, but it really encourages me to portray a character on the COSPLAY. Hmmm, my girlfriend says she wants to portray Robin Sena on the scene... Hmmm I said, that's cool. She's still young and I think she can still push it through. ^_^

I said, it was my goal to buy myself the akatsuki's trench coat since they appeared on the screen. Actually I'm a Naruto fan, and akatsuki made a good impact in the naruto series that's why I like them. And they're style is somewhat amazing. I'm not a teenager anymore but if I'm given the chance to wear this outfit, I would really want to portray PAIN, the akatsuki leader. I don't look much like him but there are certain reasons why his the character I'm portraying if ever... ^_^

Just got an Invitation

My cousin came by today and he immediately handed over a double fold sort of letter-of-invitation. Hmmm... looks like something... I took it and read the message and it says:

"Hey Ninong Mark/Ninang Camille join me on my trip to JOLLITOWN. I'm turning 1 year old . Make my birthday wish come true."

Awww even though I know it's just a template and my cousin filled it out, it's still cute and it really put a smile on my face. And that's really touching 'cause I've been frowning all day long!

And I think I will regret it if I won't be able to attend this event. Actually, he's my favorite nephew and godson.

From Manda to Dasma and Vice-Versa

I just got back to Mandaluyong from Dasmarinas, Cavite. I went there yesterday out of frustration here in Mandaluyong but I never thought I would experience even more frustration on my stay there.

We were all eating breakfast together in one table, me and my parents. It's already history that we talk about things in front of the table while eating. Suddenly while we were having the conversation on a good mood, my mother started asking about my studies. Well, I just told them what I had to say and what they needed to hear, the truth. I thought that was a good idea. I disregarded the thought of - them not understanding me. And so it happened. They begin to argue about my studies, about how I do things in school, and about what things I need in order for me to study well. What they didn't know is that they're just making me feel worse than ever.

I felt more ashamed of myself and had this big pressure coming down on me again. I thought I can have my vacation there that's why I left Manila, but then I just fail myself again, or whatever. When can I have peace? When I'm dead maybe.

I left them and went upstairs. I don't know what to say. I just burst into tears and started to make myself feel unpleasant... And you'll never really wanna know what I was thinking at that moment.

Whoa my blog is full of frustration already @_@

My Religious City

I just got out of my cave a while ago and suddenly I just realized that what an old man had said eight years before was actually true. Yes, he did told me that people from the city where I just moved in are definitely religious in all aspect. And one thing that he sighted was that the churches, different churches, especially the catholic church is always filled with people every sunday and even everyday as it counts.

I noticed this when I went out to buy something from a store near two different church in my street. The Aglipayan Church and the Catholic Church. When I saw many people going in and out of these buildings, I suddenly realize what day it is. It's sunday and people are busy going to their respective parish church.

Then it made me think that, oh it is true that the people in my city, Mandaluyong City, are really devoted to religious life. And I just come to think of it, it seems like I'm the only person who does not go to church every sunday anymore (except for my brother and his girlfriend who are actually "the devil's children" when they fight, and for my cousin who had married a born again christian).

It's really hard to think now, that I consider myself as a die-hard and sacred Roman Catholic disciple. I don't even pray anymore when I sleep. I don't pray before I eat, I don't pray... literally I don't pray. I only pray when I want something, or is it when I just remembered I have to pray?

I don't even go to mass anymore, even sunday mass which is an obligation for us catholics. And now I keep on telling myself that my prayers are not being answered. Maybe because I'm just complaining around and not doing anything.

Oh, I really wonder when I will be able to go to mass again...

Plurk PLURK Plurk

I am now a Plurk user...

For quite sometime I've managed to gather some of my old friends back through this new type of scheme. It's more like a post-it website. You post what you want, need, do, say, etc...

I'm not yet well aware of the features of this site, though I think I'm also starting to like it. There are these KARMA points that you gain in exchange for things that you may want to have in your profile, like additional smileys (which are actually cute and funny), and some other more.

I first learned this from my girl, then suddenly i just got so amazed more of my friends are actually using it. Hmmm, might be interesting. She immediately send me her invitation. (She said it's for her additional smileys).

Oh well, there, I finally experienced the feeling of being in the PLURK world. And all I can say is.... it's cute, and nice, and something new... ^_^

You should try it...
search for me "ashkenazz" and add me as friend, 'cause I only have a few...
or let me invite you PLURK INVITE CLICK HERE

Story of The Disabled Man

Story of the Disabled Man

This is the story of the disabled man. He lived his life for quite some years in his wheelchair. He was deaf and mute at the same time. His limbs were so weak he couldn’t move a muscle, and he has been having his therapy for the longest time.

One day the disabled man had his only grandchild celebrating its birthday. The old man decided to give his favorite toy when he was a child as a gift. But the toy was locked in his old room up the second floor.

He wanted to give the toy badly to his grandchild so he asked for help. A visitor passed by and so the disabled man shouted and said, “Hey there, can you help me get up the stairs please”. But he was mute so the visitor couldn’t understand what was coming out of his mouth. The visitor tried to talk to him but the disabled man couldn’t hear him because he was also deaf. So the visitor said, “I’m sorry, I did the best I could to talk to you but we just can’t make a connection possible.”

The disabled man was disappointed and sad at the same time. He wanted to get the toy badly so he continued on calling for help. His son came by and so he tried to communicate with the father of his grandchild. “Can you please help me get up the stairs, I have something very important to give to your son”, the old man said. The son understood a bit of what his father was trying to convey, but still it wasn’t clear enough. So the old disabled man tried to tell him some more until his son understood everything he tried to convey. As soon as the son realized what his father was trying to say, he immediately said, “No dad! Of course not! You can’t go up there. It’s too dangerous. You just have to accept that you can’t walk.” The son told this to his father in a manner he would understand clearly.

The old man was again disappointed because of what his son had just told him. He was hurt. The next one to come by was his daughter-in-law. His daughter-in-law was the one who took care of him ever since he got his limbs useless. He thought maybe she could understand and help him. So he tried to ask help from his daughter-in-law, and she eagerly tried to help him at once. She took his walking stick and assisted him up the stairs. When they were halfway there, the walking stick fell downstairs and she was frightened that they might fall. So she hurried downstairs to keep the old man from trouble.

Again the old man was sad, they were so close to his goal but still can’t reach it. He contemplated by himself and said, “I need a miracle to do this.” God replied and said, “You don’t need no miracle. You only need self-assurance, faith, hope, and the will power to do this.” So he thought he can either wait for someone who is really willing to help him through, or do it by himself.

As soon as he realized this he said to himself, “I can do this!” He took the chance and stepped forward. It was a success. But on the second step he fell on his knees. Tears fell from his eyes down to his cheeks as he said to himself, “There is hope!” So he crawled upstairs to gain hope. He reached halfway but his body was already shaking as if he would fall if he let go of one leg. He said to himself, “There is hope, and I can do this.” Nobody saw what he was trying to do until he slipped one foot and was about to fall. He was crying for help but nobody came 'cause nobody could hear him, everyone was busy entertaining the guests on his grandson’s party. When he was about to let go of his support, his grandson came and rushed to his grandfather. The child said in an innocent voice, “Grandpa what are you trying to do? Why are you climbing the stairs? Do you want to go up?” The old man knew what his grandchild was saying by heart and not by hearing. He also knew his grandson wouldn’t understand him if he tried to speak so he just nodded. He closed his eyes and thanked God for saving his life. When the child saw his eyes closed he cried and said, “Grandpa don’t die!” He opened his eyes and regained his small amount of strength coming from his own will. “I will help you climb”, the child said. The little boy tried all the best he could do but he was just to little to carry his grandfather. When they were just last two steps from the second floor the grandfather realized that his grandson was already tired and panting. He said to his grandchild, “Son, if you’re already tired… you can just leave me here and get your prize in a cabinet beside the bed by my old room. Your prize is also my prize.” Of course the child didn’t understood what he was telling him. Instead of leaving him he nodded and said to his grandfather, “Yes Grandpa, I will take you there.”

They were both tired but they also both succeeded. They were both happy and the grandfather played with his grandchild as they lie on the second floor.

Ozine Fest 2009

I just received an invite from my classmates, and I said yes! Why not? I want to try this awesome thingy... If ever this thing goes through, it will be my first time to sing for a band on a big crowd playing Japanese anime songs...

"Ozine Fest '09 will be on April 3, 4, and 5, 2009 at the SM Megamall Building B, 5th floor Megatrade Hall 2. This event is organized by the people behind Otakuzine Anime Magazine." - quoted from ozinefest live journal

It's a COSPLAY. To give you a brief background, it originated from Japan which means COSTUME PLAY. It's practically all over the world now, dressing up in costumes specifically for anime, manga, and alike.

Wow it's a great feeling that they chose me to do this thing. It's my dream actually to sing anime songs in a band. The big crowd is plus factor now, and I would really be happy if we could get through. Hope you support this.

"Best Band will receive Php 2,000.00 and a contract to be part of the manga soundtrack with last year’s winner “Haponesang Dilat” on the launch of PSICOM’s new manga." - battle of the bands

-> Not much of a prize, but the performance on stage itself and the exposure will compensate the rest ^_^

Kindly check the original site at otakuzine-mag
